Sustainability commitments

The Finnish forest industry is committed to comprehensive sustainability work, with responsible actions implemented consistently across all stages of the value chain. Systematic sustainability efforts guide the entire sector towards continuous improvement.

Sustainability

Sustainability work in the forest industry is continuous, everyday development

Sustainability lies at the core of the Finnish forest industry’s operations. Our activities are guided by the principles of sustainable development. Efforts are carried out both through sector-wide initiatives and through companies’ own voluntary actions and commitments. Progress is driven by EU legislation as well as increasing consumer awareness and expectations.

The Finnish forest industry undertakes sustainability actions at every stage of the value chain. We provide renewable and innovative solutions and products that have a positive impact on the climate, employment and economic growth.
