Fibre-based lid solution reduces plastic use in packaging

In collaboration with Nestlé, Walki has developed a fibre-based lid solution for instant noodle packaging in Asia. This innovation replaces the traditional plastic lid with a renewable material, reduces the use of fossil-based raw materials and supports the circular economy. It is an example of how collaboration can deliver scalable and more sustainable packaging solutions for global markets. The lids are manufactured at Walki’s Valkeakoski plant.
